Excitement

This is very exciting for me, that God has given me the opportunity to lead these students on this trip.  I am excited to see all that the Lord is going to do, in my heart and relationship with him, the student’s hearts and also in the hearts of the children at the Word of Life Camp in Hungary.  In my younger days, I had been on a couple different short term mission trips and one long term mission.  They were fun and exciting trips that were challenging on both the spiritual and physical aspects.  There were times of joy and being goofy and there were other times of crying and comfort. As I prepared for those trips, the preparation was quite a bit different than this trip.  For those trips, I was not the leader.  I was just one going on the trip.  Sure, there was a lot of prayer involved, writing support letters, and so forth, but I was only responsible for me.  This time around, I am responsible for 15 other people.  I absolutely love the task at hand though, knowing that I cannot do it on my own!  I pray that the Lord gives the leaders and myself wisdom in leading the students, not just on the trip, but wisdom in leading them to the throne of Jesus!  For His Glory!

Pasta Dinner

Our Pasta Dinner & Silent Auction went great!

Many thanks to all of the parents and siblings that volunteered their time and effort to help the team with this dinner!

And thank you to everyone who came, bought dinner, bid on a piece in the auction, and donated money to the trip! We truly are so grateful!

Our next fundraiser will be coming in March, so stay tuned!

What I've Learned: Team Member Megan

We have been growing as a team so much in the short amount of time we have been working toward this mission trip. I have been learning countless lesson along the way.

One that has been sticking out to me the most, and is one that I think everyone needs a little reminder of, IT'S NOT ABOUT ME!

My life, this missions trip, serving in my church... In everything I do, I shouldn't be doing it out of "selfish ambition or conceit". I should humble myself and do everything to glory God, who was and is the one who gave me these opportunities, and who saved my life! He deserves everything to be done to His glory.

So, going through this trip, I have to keep remembering that, even if I go unnoticed, I'm not doing this trip for applause, I'm doing it to glorify my Savior.

What I've Learned: Team Member Christina

Something I have learned so far from being on this missions team, Is we have to work as a TEAM. Team stands for - Together Everyone Achieves More. And I as so thankful that I have this wonderful opportunity to go to Hungry with this amazing group of people from our youth group. I can not wait to see what is going to happen in the future.
